Development Bank to finance Belarusian equipment export to Zimbabwe

MINSK, 21 January (BelTA) – Financing of the export of Belarusian equipment to Zimbabwe was discussed during a meeting between Chairman of the Board of the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus (DBRB) Andrei Zhishkevich and Zimbabwe’s Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube, BelTA has learned.
 
Zimbabwe confirmed its interest in having joint projects financed by the Development Bank, in line with decree No.534 of 25 August 2006 on promotion of export of goods (works, services).

The project will be implemented in association with the pan-African partner bank, the Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Bank. In 2018, the DBRB extended it a credit facility of $70 million for this purpose.
