BREST, 18 May (BelTA) – Delegations from 15 countries are taking part in the Brest 2022 international business forum that started on 18 May, Brest Oblast Governor Yuri Shuleiko said, BelTA has learned.
This is the fifth edition of the forum that will run through 19 May. Some of the delegations have already arrived in Brest - these are diplomats, representatives of China, Russia’s Penza Oblast and Buryatia, business people from other countries. Delegates from Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Indonesia, and China joined the event via video link.
“The pandemic has subsided and we have been looking forward to meeting with the business community. The business forum is one of the landmark events for the regional economy, including its manufacturing sector. It offers a great opportunity to discuss the state and prospects of cooperation, including trade,” Yuri Shuleiko said.
The forum is grouped into four sections: investment, innovation, tourism and medicine, partner cities. The participants of the forum will be able to take part in the business matchmaking session, tour enterprises of the region, sanatoriums and tourist facilities.
