Defense minister: Belarus is ready to cooperate with all stakeholders

MINSK, 12 August (BelTA) - Belarus is ready to cooperate with all stakeholders , Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin said at the ARMY 2024 International Military Technical Forum, BelTA learned from the Defense Ministry.

"Belarus' participation in the event is an indicator of our readiness to further expand interaction with all stakeholders on the basis of mutual respect and interests of each other," Viktor Khrenin said.

"In the context of the tense military and political situation, global instability and attempts of putting unprecedented pressure on countries pursuing their own sovereign and independent policies, the forum provides an excellent opportunity to develop relations between like-minded countries, partners and allies. These states have a unique opportunity to demonstrate the available technological, industrial and defense potential and to outline joint ways of solving problems in the field of ensuring national, regional and global security," the defense minister stressed.

The head of the Defense Ministry noted that for 10 years the forum has rightfully gained high prestige and recognition as one of the world's largest and leading exhibitions of weapons, military hardware and special-purpose equipment and military and dual-purpose technologies. “Thanks to this, the forum opens up new opportunities and prospects for the development of military and technical cooperation, and also industrial relations. The Army forum is not only a demonstration of results and exchange of achievements in the field of high technologies of designing high-quality efficient military and dual-use goods but also is an indicator of the development of human resources potential of the defense sector enterprises of the participating countries," Viktor Khrenin said.

The Belarusian minister stressed that the samples of weapons and military hardware on display convincingly demonstrate the potential of Belarus, which is rightfully among the world's leading manufacturers in the field of defense and security.

"I am confident that all this will contribute to the interstate military and military-technical cooperation and promote further exchange of experience and open and trustful friendly dialogues aimed at maintaining peace and stability in all regions of the planet," the head of the Belarusian Defense Ministry noted.
