MINSK, 30 January (BelTA) – A Belarusian government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Kalinin visited Turkmenistan, the press service of the Belarusian government told BelTA.
While in Turkmenistan the Belarusian delegation visited the construction site of the Garlyk mining and processing factory. A conference was held at the site to discuss ways to stay on schedule of construction, startup and commissioning work taking into account the final stage of the construction project.
The delegation also visited the construction sites where a complex of buildings of the Belarusian diplomatic mission and a Belarusian center for machines, vehicles, and equipment in Ashgabat are being built.
Apart from that, Anatoly Kalinin met with Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Batyr Ereshov, who heads the Belarusian-Turkmen intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation on behalf of Turkmenistan, and Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan Alexander Dadayev.
During the meetings the sides thoroughly discussed topical matters concerning diversified cooperation between Belarus and Turkmenistan in economic affairs, including the implementation of joint construction projects, shipments of automobiles and agricultural machines, equipment, agricultural products, and other commodities and services.
As a result of the visit constructive agreements have been reached on further expanding the mutually beneficial cooperation between Belarus and Turkmenistan.
