MINSK, 26 March (BelTA) – Top managers of the Chinese company Zoomlion showed interest in the co-production of firefighting vehicles in Belarus as they met with a Belarusian parliamentary in the city of Changsha, Hunan Province, BelTA learned from the press service of the Council of the Republic.
The meeting was dedicated to prospects of bilateral cooperation. Zoomlion President Zhan Chunxin spoke about the main lines of business of his company. “The sides discussed a joint project to build a plant for special vehicles in the Belarus-China industrial park Great Stone. The project is estimated at $30 million. The plant will produce construction, utility, and agricultural vehicles. The Chinese partners also showed interest in the joint production of firefighting vehicles,” the press service said.
The Belarusian delegation also met with the top management of China Railway Construction Heavy Industry (CRCHI) in Changsha. CRCHI President Liu Feixiang has showed interest in partnership with Belarusian companies. “We will be happy to find partners in Belarus to develop mutually beneficial cooperation,” he noted.
CRCHI produces tunnel structures, equipment and rail systems for high-speed rail, and also special vehicles and agricultural vehicles. The company exports products to the USA, Russia, Iran, Turkey, and other countries.
