MINSK, 21 December (BelTA) – China’s Jiangxi Province is showing interest in developing cooperation with Belarus in the areas of industry, tourism and education. The matter was discussed at the meeting between Belarus’ Deputy Economy Minister Dmitry Matusevich and a delegation from Jiangxi Province led by Deputy Chairman of the People’s Political Consultative Conference (Jiangxi Province) Yao Yaping, BelTA learned from the website of the Economy Ministry.
The parties discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Jiangxi Province, including the possibility for the Chinese province's businessmen to take part in the implementation of projects in the Great Stone Industrial Park, the establishment of interregional cooperation between the Chinese province and Vitebsk Oblast. Belarus suggested holding a joint business forum for businessmen of Jiangxi Province to get Chinese enterprises with business doing conditions in Belarus and expand the areas of cooperation.
The Chinese delegation is expected to visit BelAZ and the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone on 22 December.
Jiangxi Province is located in the eastern part of China, to the south from the Yangtze River. The province's area is 166,900 square kilometers, the population is 45.65 million people. The capital of Jiangxi Province is Nanchang with the population of 5.042 million people. The province is rich in natural resources. It ranks first in the production of copper, silver and uranium, second - in wolfram and gold.
