MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) – China’s Gansu Province and Belarus’ Grodno Oblast plan to set up exhibition centers on a parity basis, BelTA learned from the press service of the Economy Ministry.
Belarus’ Economy Minister Vladimir Zinovsky met with a delegation of China’s Gansu Province led by Governor Tang Renjian. “The participants of the meeting discussed trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Gansu Province, including the possibility for the Gansu Province businessmen to take part in the implementation of projects at the Great Stone Industrial Park, the intensification of interregional cooperation with Grodno Oblast. The governor voiced the intention of the Gansu Province companies to participate in the development of high-tech enterprises at the Great Stone Industrial Park, set up exhibition centers of Grodno Oblast and Gansu Province in the cities of Lanzhou and Grodno,” the press service said.
China also shows interest in developing cooperation with Belarus in agriculture, tourism and education, construction of infrastructure facilities, and also in increasing mutual export supplies.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Industry Minister Dmitry Korchik, head of the administration of the Great Stone Industrial Park Alexander Yaroshenko, Chairman of the Economy Committee of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee Andrei Sviridov.
