MINSK, 23 March (BelTA) - Director of the Department of Eurasian Affairs of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce Luo Weidong met with a Belarusian parliamentary delegation on 23 March, BelTA learned from the press service of the Council of the Republic.
The Chinese-Belarusian industrial park Great Stone has become the biggest joint project for the two countries. “The park continues developing attracting investors from China and other countries to Belarus,” the Chinese representative said. He expressed the confidence that the products made in the park would be in demand on the markets of the Eurasian Economic Union and the European countries. “For our part, we are ready to do our utmost for the successful development of the park and mutually beneficial cooperation with Belarus,” the director of the department said.
A number of issues related to trade and economic cooperation were discussed during the meeting. Luo Weidong took note of the growing bilateral trade, the increasing supplies of Belarusian potash fertilizers, timber, and dairy products to China, and the strengthening regional cooperation.
