LIANYUNGANG, 6 May (BelTA) – China-Kazakhstan International Logistics Company in the city of Lianyungang invites Belarus to cooperation, the company’s general manager Liu Bin said in an interview with BelTA.
According to him, the company is ready to offer mutually advantageous terms to Belarusians logistics and other companies.
Lianyungang is home to one of the largest ports in the country. This is a linkup of sea and rail ways where huge volumes of goods are transshipped. Goods intended for Belarus also go through the port of Lianyungang. In general about 200 million tonnes of cargo are transshipped through the port every year. Four to six trains are sent daily from here to Kazakhstan. A Chinese-Kazakhstan terminal was opened there a year ago.
Lianyungang provides the most convenient access to the sea along the new Asia-Europe transcontinental bridge connecting the city with the western regions, Central Asia. It is the access to the sea for the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Lianyungang is the east fort of the new Silk Road economic corridor.
