MINSK, 30 January (BelTA) – China has invited Belarus to partake in One Belt, One Road international forum due in Beijing this May, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in China.
Belarus’ participation in One Belt, One Road high-level forum was on the agenda of the meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Kirill Rudy and Director General of the Department of International Economic Affairs of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Zhang Jun.
Media reported earlier that at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, China President Xi Jinping said Beijing will host a high-level forum on international cooperation as part of the One Belt, One Road initiative. The upcoming forum is set to discuss plans for the future cooperation of the involved countries and organizations, explore ways to address regional and global economic problems, and generate fresh energy for interconnected development.
