BEIJING, 5 May (BelTA) – The Chinese-Belarusian interregional economic forum will be held in Minsk during Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to Belarus, deputy head of the Eurasian Affairs Department of the Minsitry of Commerce Zhang Dong informed, BelTA has learned.
"This will be one of the largest and high-level events since the establishment of the Belarusian-Chinese diplomatic relations," said the representative of the Ministry of Commerce.
According to him, the Chinese side attaches great importance to President Xi Jinping’s visit to Minsk, and to the interregional economic forum. "Literally after the New Year (Chinese Spring Festival) we started working on the preparation of the state visit of China's President to Belarus. This visit is very important for China,” said Zhang Dong.
According to the Chinese Minsitry of Foreign Affairs, Chinese President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Belarus will be held at the invitation of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 10-12 May.
