SMOLEVICHI DISTRICT, 21 December (BelTA) – Belarusian MPs call for an increased participation of domestic investors in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Boleslav Pirshtuk told the media on 21 December.
According to the vice speaker, MPs will work actively in their constituencies to attract as many Belarusian investors to the park as possible. There is a great interest in their presence in the Great Stone. MPs are also determined to present the potential of the China-Belarus industrial park in international platforms with a view to attracting foreign investors as well. According to the deputy chairman of the House of Representatives, there are 74 groups of friendship with parliaments of other countries at the National Assembly. These resources should be utilized in full.
Unprecedentedly favorable conditions have been created for residents of the park. Companies are exempted from the tax on income generated from the sales of goods and services produced at the park for ten years. Belarus, in turn, hopes for an inflow of new investments. “In the near future we will see very good results. The park will give a serious boost to the Belarusian economy,” Boleslav Pirshtuk said.
MPs also intend to improve the Belarusian legislation to make it more attractive for business doing.
Some important steps have already been done in this direction. The Entrepreneurship Development Ordinance has been signed by the president. The country has opted to develop the digital economy.
The China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone is hosting a seminar of the House of Representatives. MPs are studying the legal regime of the park, its infrastructure, discussing the ways to attract investment and organize high-technology manufacturing facilities. The seminar has been organized by the Administration of the China-Belarus Industrial Park, the House of Representatives, the Industrial Park Development Company, and China Merchants Group.
