MINSK, 2 March (BelTA) – Representatives of the business community of Belarus are on a visit to Iran to ramp up bilateral contacts, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
The Belarusian delegation is led by First Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Alexander Nakhayenko. On 2 March he met with President of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture and took part in the business forum arranged under the aegis of the Iranian chamber.
Speaking at the business forum were Deputy Head for International Relations at the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Ali Akbar Farazi, First Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Alexander Nakhayenko and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Iran Viktor Rybak. The business forum was followed by a business match-making session.
Talks with top executives of the Iranian metallurgical engineering society and the Food Industries Association are scheduled for 3-4 March. The Belarusian delegation will also take part in the events that were agreed on at the intergovernmental session of the Belarus-Iran commission for economic cooperation.
