MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) shared its best practices in trading in forestry products at the international conference Russia’s Timber and Sawn Wood Market 2020 which is underway in Moscow on 16-17 September, BelTA leaned from the BUCE press service.
BUCE has been organizing and conducting timber exchange trading for over 15 years. “Over the time, we have accumulated significant experience in selling these products both in the domestic market and abroad. The practice shows that the use of the exchange mechanism helps to expand the geography of sales and provides the most favorable conditions for transactions. Over the last six months alone, Belarusian sawn wood exporters have additionally earned about $4 million, with companies from more than 30 countries buying the products,” said First Deputy Chairman of the Board of BUCE Andrei Novikov.
The BUCE representative also emphasized the universal nature of the exchange trading system, which, if necessary, can be adapted for any commodity position and any market, including the Russian one.
“We are open for cooperation and in case of interest from the Russian side we are ready to offer our trading platform to forestry enterprises that would like to enter new markets and improve the efficiency of foreign trade activities,” said Andrei Novikov.
