MINSK, 13 May (BelTA) – The Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR) and the National Institute of Technology of India have signed a cooperation program. The signing ceremony was attended by the rectors of the educational institutions and Chairman of the Council of the Republic of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich, BelTA learned from the STV TV Channel.
The sides hope that the agreement will lay the foundation for the active cooperation in education and research between the leading universities of Belarus and India. Innovative programs will be a pillar of cooperation. Scientists from the two universities are already mulling over nanotechnology projects. “I am convinced that young people who will get an additional impulse thanks to the cooperation of the Institute of Technology and the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics will become excellent specialists in popular branches of our economies,” Mikhail Myasnikovich said.
BelTA reported earlier that the Belarusian parliamentary delegation pays a visit to India. Mikhail Myasnikovich has already met with the Indian president and the chairman of the upper chamber of the Indian parliament. The Belarusian-Indian business forum took place in Delhi. The biggest Belarusian enterprises signed cooperation agreements with Indian companies. Such issues as visa facilitation, direct flights between the capitals of the two countries were also on the agenda.
