MINSK, 31 July (BelTA) – The British private sector is interested in cooperation with the Belarusian woodworking company OAO Borisovski DOK, BelTA learned from Viktor Kashpei, Head of the Foreign Economic Ties and Domestic Market Sales Coordination Office of the Belarusian timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry concern Bellesbumprom, at a press conference on 31 July.
According to the source, representatives of the British private sector recently visited a number of Belarusian companies and were pleasantly impressed with Borisovski DOK. The British side expressed interest in cooperation with the company. Negotiations are underway. Details of delivering the first few batches of merchandise to the UK are being worked out, said Viktor Kashpei.
A stand to showcase achievements of the Belarusian woodworking industry was first arranged at the international expo Timber Expo 2017 in Birmingham in October 2017. Back then representatives of the UK private sector were invited to travel to Belarus and visit woodworking companies. The visit took place in June 2018. It was organized with assistance of the Belarusian embassy in the UK and a UK federation of merchandise traders. Representatives of a number of British companies held negotiations with the administration of the Belarusian woodworking industry, the management of woodworking and furniture making enterprises of the Bellesbumprom Concern.
OAO Borisovski DOK is part of the Belarusian timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry concern Bellesbumprom. It is Belarus’ largest woodworking company with more than 100 years of experience of making wooden products. It offers components for building homes out of laminated logs, a wide choice of wooden products, and wood pellets as fuel.
