British Nottingham to get first Belarusian electric bus soon

MINSK, 29 March (BelTA) – The first Belarusian right-hand drive electric bus will be sent on its way to Nottingham, UK soon, BelTA learned from the message the UK embassy in Belarus posted in its Facebook account.

The message reads: “The first right-hand drive electric bus made by Belkommunmash is just back from trials and will soon be shipped to Nottingham. Regional Director at UK Export Finance Vomic Shah is behind the wheel.”

The Belarusian mechanical engineering company Belkommunmash is a leading manufacturer of ground urban electric transport in the Commonwealth of Independent States. The company offers trolleybuses, passenger tram cars, and electric buses of the regular and increased capacities. Electric buses represent an innovative means of transportation. They combine advantages of trolleybuses and buses while leaving out their disadvantages.
