The company has shipped a total of three tractors to Australia. They are supposed to take part in the traditional Australian agricultural trade show Field Day in the city of Dowerin, State of Western Australia on 27-28 August. It is one of the largest agribusiness forums in Australia and attracts a large number of exhibitors and visitors every year.

The shipment of the first batch of compact tractors to Australia has been possible thanks to vigorous efforts of the marketing service of MTZ Holding’s parent company — OAO Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark). The specialists worked hard to find a partner to promote Belarusian tractors to new markets. As a result of the work the contract was signed with the Australian company Diverse Engineering (WA) PtyLtd. The company will take care of organizing the display of Belarusian tractors during the abovementioned trade show as well as other similar events in Australia.

“We intend to establish long-term relations with our partners in Australia. We also expect the Bobruisk-made tractors to sell well to Australian farmers. They are already interested but before committing fully they would like to see how well the tractors perform in the field. We are also ready to design a tractor to meet requirements of Australian farmers in order to secure a foothold on this promising and capacious market,” said the source.

BelTA has been told that Australia is also the last continent where Bobruisk-made tractors have not been available up till now.

Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units was founded in 1945. At present it is part of the holding company MTZ. The Bobruisk-based factory specializes in making components of Belarus tractors. Since 2007 the factory has been making compact tractors Belarus 320. At present the company’s choice of products include nine basic models of tractors and municipal vehicles based on them. Over the course of its history the company has made and shipped over 10,000 compact Belarus tractors, which are now used in over 50 countries.
