MINSK, 2 March (BelTA) – Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) is eager to establish a joint business incubator for young scientists with a Georgian university, BNTU Rector Boris Khrustalev said during the meeting of Georgia President Giorgi Margvelashvili with students and teaching staff of the university on 2 March, BelTA has learned.
“We are ready to begin the work on the joint business incubator for the implementation of the ideas and solutions devised by our young scientists and specialists that are designed to promote the development of real economy in Belarus and Georgia,” Boris Khrustalev said.
The BNTU rector also invited a university based in Kutaisi to establish a joint engineering and economy department. Georgian students would be able to study BNTU-designed programs delivered with the participation of Belarusian professors in Georgia and come to Belarus for their senior university years. BNTU suggests issuing Belarusian-Georgian double diplomas for graduates of such programs.
“At the moment, the documents related to the establishment of a joint department are under consideration by the Georgian Ministry of Education and Science. We hope for a positive decision,” Boris Khrustalev noted.
