VIENNA, 13 November (BelTA) – It is profitable for Austrian companies to invest in Belarusian IT companies, BelTA learned from Director of the Hi-Tech Park Administration Vsevolod Yanchevsky on the sidelines of a business forum in Vienna.

Vsevolod Yanchevsky mentioned the mutually beneficial nature of cooperation in IT industry: “It is now profitable for the Austrian private sector to invest in Belarusian companies because they are truly exceedingly profitable and grow faster than anywhere else in the region. On the other hand, Belarus and the Hi-Tech Park benefit from new contracts that bring foreign currency into the country, new technologies, larger markets, and foreign direct investments.”

The Hi-Tech Park Administration director underlined the Belarusian IT industry did not need a special presentation during the business forum. “When we started telling Austrian colleagues and partners about it, it turned out that many of them already know about Hi-Tech Park companies, about the rapid development of the IT industry in Belarus thanks to decisions and support of the head of state. We were certainly pleased to hear it,” the official said.

Vsevolod Yanchevsky stated that investment cooperation already develops very intensively. He said he was confident the trend will only grow stronger in the future.
