MINSK, 14 May (BelTA) – A number of bilateral documents to promote cooperation in healthcare provision and pharmaceutics were signed within the framework of the Belarus-Japan economic forum in Osaka, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian Embassy in Japan.
A partnership agreement was concluded bewteen Belarus’ pharmaceutical company NatiVita and Japan’s Chukan Butsu. Belarus’ Belpharmprom Holding Company signed a memorandum of cooperation with this Japanese company.
During the regional part of the forum in Osaka, over 100 Japanese business people could learn more about the opportunities offered by the Great Stone park and the Japan-Belarus industrial zone near Mogilev, as well as export offers of Belarusian companies.
The format of the regional meeting was used to arrange talks between Belarus’ Healthcare Minister Valery Malashko and Deputy Chairman of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee Viktor Nekrashevich on one side and the Osaka Prefecture governor, mayors of Osaka and Shiroishi and Japan’s leading business associations on the other.
Valery Malashko visited one of Osaka’s medical schools and met with its administration representatives to discuss a possibility to build ties between this educational institution and Belarusian medical schools.
