Belneftekhim takes part in Oil, Gas, Petrochemistry exhibition in Kazan

MINSK, 2 September (BelTA) – The organizations of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim are taking part in the international exhibition Oil, Gas. Petrochemistry which opened in Kazan on 2 September as part of the Tatarstan Oil & Gas and Chemical Forum, BelTA learned from the press service of the concern.

At the opening of the forum the head of the Belarusian delegation, Belarus’ Ambassador to Russia Vladimir Semashko said that Belarus and Tatarstan have many promising areas of cooperation. Business contacts with Tatarstan companies have been developing successfully. Besides, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov is expected to visit Minsk on 26-27 September.

Deputy Chairman of Belneftekhim Concern Andrei Bunakov showed Rustam Minnikhanov a united stand featuring Belarus’ biggest petrochemical organizations. Exhibition visitors were most interested in products and services of Naftan, belshina, Belorusneft, Mogilevkhimvolokno, Mozyr Oil Refinery, Grodno Azot’s subsidiary Khimvolokno Plant.
   
Andrei Bunakov also took part in a plenary session of the international conference “Hydrocarbon and Mineral Resource Potential of Crystal Base”, panel discussions to talk about the ways to expand the application of petrochemical products.

On 3 September, Kazan will host a meeting of the Tatarstan-Belarus working group on cooperation to discuss strengthening o interregional cooperation. 

The Belarusian delegation is also expected to meet with representatives of Nizhnekamskneftekhim and Tatneft, talks to expand bilateral cooperation.

Belneftekhim Concern is responsible for cooperation with Tatarstan, one of the biggest and most industrially developed regions of Russia. In H1 2019 Belarus-Tatarstan trade almost reached $529 million. Some $246.5 million of them are the trade with Belneftekhim’s partners from Tatarstan.
