MINSK, 17 October (BelTA) – Enterprises run by the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim increased their export to Tatarstan by nearly 50% in January-August 2016, BelTA has learned.
Belneftekhim representatives met with top executives of the Russian company Nizhnekamskneftekhim on 17 October. The Russian company is one of the largest partners of the Belarusian petrochemical industry in Tatarstan.
Upon the relevant instructions of the government Belneftekhim is in charge of advancing cooperation between Belarus and Russia’s Tatarstan.
In January-August 2016 Belneftekhim’s enterprises increased their export to Tatarstan by 46.1%. The main exports were cord fabric (73.9% up) and four-carbon fraction (51.5% up). Belneftekhim enterprises also export automobile tires primarily for the automobile engineering company KamAZ. From Tatarstan Belneftekhim imports artificial rubber, oil, and other products. Bilateral trade totaled $46.7 million, with Belneftekhim’s surplus at $4.8 million.
In January-August 2016 Belarus’ export to Tatarstan totaled $148.2 million, 13.1% up.
