MINSK, 2 February (BelTA) – Enterprises affiliated with the Belarusian timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry concern Bellesbumprom increased exports to Saint Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast 1.6 times in January-November 2021, BelTA learned from Bellesbumprom’s official Telegram channel.
Over this period the concern shipped products worth $16.8 million, or 160% as against the same period in 2020.
“The exports were dominated by wood-based panels (about 40%), furniture (27%), paper and cardboard (24%). All in all, the export assortment featured about 15 items, such as wooden windows and doors, plywood, matches, various containers, cellulose, several types of wood chemical products (rosin, turpentine, etc.),” the concern informed.
Mutual trade is the backbone of cooperation between the Bellesbumprom concern and Russian partners. Enterprises of the Belarusian concern purchased $3 million worth of component parts and materials from this Russian region.
