MINSK, 8 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry concern Bellesbumprom hopes to sign long-term contracts on supplies to the United States, BelTA learned from the company.
“Bellesbumprom products are becoming increasingly popular on the U.S. market. This week, from 7 to 12 September, the company is receiving a delegation of U.S. businessmen, who plan to conclude long-term cooperation contracts. The U.S. market is a relatively new and very promising for Bellesbumprom enterprises,” the company said.
The first deliveries of furniture and plywood to the United States, despite the geographical distance, proved worthy and increased several times in the first seven months of the current year. “This means that with a detailed study of production costs and optimal logistics, the export to the United States can be profitable and should be further developed. The U.S. partners agree with that. They are making their visit to Belarus to study the potential of Bellesbumprom furniture and woodworking enterprises for long-term cooperation and stable supply of products necessary for the U.S. market,” the company stressed.
There is a great interest in Belarusian furniture and wooden house-building. The U.S. delegation will visit Bellesbumprom’s furniture enterprises such as Pinskdrev, Molodechnomebel and its branch Vileika Furniture Factory, ZOV-Lenevromebel in Grodno. The delegation will also get familiar with the Borisov wood-working company, Stroydetali and Domostroenie Production of the Newsprint Factory. Negotiations with the management of Bellesbumprom and logistics company will be held on 10 September. All details of cooperation and delivery of Bellesbumprom’s products to the United States will be discussed.
