MINSK, 13 September (BelTA) – Bellesbumprom companies hope to regain its positions on the market of the European Union, Bellesbumprom Chairman Yuri Nazarov said at the opening of the international specialized expo Furniture 2017 on 13 September, BelTA has learned.
“We worked productively there (in Europe. – BelTA’s note), but we have lost our positions and should restore them now,” Yuri Nazarov.
Belarusian wood processing companies plan to take part in the international expo Timber Expo which will take place in Birmingham on 10-12 October. This is the largest specialized forum in the UK. “This is a landmark event for the participants of the process indeed. We can promote our interests and products there,” the chairman of Bellesbumprom stressed.
According to Yuri Nazarov, there are more than 600 furniture manufacturers in Belarus. The biggest manufacturers are represented at the expo. “Obviously, the modernization of the wood board production has given an impetus to this development. As a result, furniture manufacturers get better and cheaper raw materials,” he said.
Partaking in the international specialized expo Furniture 2017 are enterprises from Belarus, Russia, Poland, Austria, Turkey, Croatia, Germany, and Kazakhstan. New models of cabinet and lounge furniture, wood boards have been designed for the expo. The expo will feature the entire range of furniture for sitting rooms, kitchens, nurseries, hallways, bathrooms, country houses and farmsteads, garden furniture and furniture for special purposes.
