Bellegprom mulls joint production of furnishing with Turkish partners

MINSK, 13 November (BelTA) – Bellegprom Concern plans to organize joint production of furnishing with Turkish partners, Deputy Chairman of the concern Nikolai Rogozhnik told BelTA following the participation in the Belarusian Investment Forum in Istanbul.

“We have reached agreements with a number of Turkish companies to consider the development of joint companies to produce furnishing at the Bellegprom production facilities. At present we do not produce these goods in Belarus. There are no such companies in the post-Soviet space either. All the furnishing is bought abroad,” noted Nikolai Rogozhnik.

In his words, the Turkish partners of the Belarusian companies got an invitation for the annual autumn trading show Beltexlegprom. “We will take part in a similar event in Bursa,” he said.

According to Nikolai Rogozhnik, during the investment forum Bellegprom Concern signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Association of Textile and Raw Material Exporters’ Association (ITHIB). “A big visit is planned for December 2015 to consider possibilities for increasing the supplies of products made by the Orsha Flax Factory, including linen fabric, ready-made products and home textiles,” he said.

Nikolai Rogozhnik stressed that the parties also considered possibilities for purchasing Turkish raw material for OAO Kamvol – viscose and other goods that are not produced in Belarus but are necessary for the production of high-quality fabric.
