MINSK, 5 May (BelTA) – In Q1 of 2020, Bellegprom exported 58.3% of its output, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian state light industry concern Bellegprom.
“In January-March, Bellegprom exported goods worth $109.1 million, which accounted for 58.3% of the total output. Light industry goods were shipped to 41 countries,” the press service noted. Imports in Q1 reached $59.6 million, and accounted for 81.9% of the imports in the same period of 2019. Bellegprom has a foreign trade surplus in the amount of $49.5 million.
In January-March of 2020, Bellegprom's companies manufactured industrial products worth Br422.6 million, which was up 1.3% year-on-year.
The average monthly salary in January-March of this year was Br802.4.
The Belarusian state light industry Bellegprom concern comprises 96 organizations, including 76 industrial companies (textile, sewing, knitting and leather-footwear industries). They account for 60% of the country's total light industry output and 21% of Belarus' total non-food production. Products are sold to 56 countries.
