MINSK, 25 August (BelTA) – In H1 2021 enterprises run by the Belarusian state food industry concern Belgospishcheprom penetrated 13 new target markets. Those are Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria, UAE, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Morocco, Brazil, Libya, Iceland, Oman, and Pakistan. A total of $1.2 million worth of merchandise was shipped to these markets, the Belgospishcheprom press service told BelTA.
“In H1 2021 Belgospishcheprom enterprises hit key performance targets. Confectionery industry, oil and butter industry, alcohol industry, yeast industry, and other industries increased their output. Food export to remote countries and the People’s Republic of China increased by 1.5 times and more than that. Belgospishcheprom enterprises now export their products to 72 countries across the globe. Thirteen new ones were added in H1 2021,” Belgospishcheprom Chairman Anatoly Buben said.
The foreign trade surplus of Belgospishcheprom’s enterprises totaled $23 million in January-July 2021.
Effective sales allowed doubling profits from sales and net profits. Belgospishcheprom was the leading payer of taxes to the central state budget among government agencies in H1 2021. The overall growth rate of salaries at Belgospishcheprom enterprises reached 116.9% as against January-June 2020.
