MINSK, 4 December (BelTA) - Belgian company RenaSci intends to build a waste processing plant in Borisov Oblast. The project was discussed during a meeting between officials of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee and representatives of the company, BelTA has learned.
The Belgian company intends to build a plant for processing solid municipal waste into diesel fuel and pellets, said Yelizaveta Davelman, the deputy head of investment of the economy committee at the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee. “The potential investor inspected the site in Borisov District and had positive impressions. They are ready to work here,” she said.
Deputy Chairman of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee Oleg Plavsky briefed the Belgian delegation on the terms of investment activity and noted that waste recycling is an important issue for Belarus. “Our meeting is the first step in cooperation. We are ready to provide all necessary information. We intend to support this project. When we sign an investment agreement, the state will undertake the obligations to make sure you do not have delays at any stage of the implementation of the agreement,” Oleg Plavsky noted.
The investments in the project are estimated at €50 million.
