BelAZ to ship 50 haulers to Ukraine’s Metinvest Group

MINSK, 23 November (BelTA) – Ukraine’s Metinvest Group and Belarus' automobile engineering company BelAZ have signed an agreement on long-term cooperation. In line with the document, BelAZ guarantees the delivery of 50 rock haulers with the carrying capacity of 30-50 tonnes and over 130 tonnes to the mining and processing enterprises of Krivoi Rog through the period of up to 2020, BelTA learned from the website of the Ukrainian company.

Within the next three years one of the world's largest manufacturers of haulers will be supplying its machinery and spare parts to Metinvest’s mining and processing entreprises. In turn, Metinvest will be delivering to BelAZ its rolled metal products used for the production of haulers to the total tune of about 13,000 tonnes per year.

The steel and mechanical engineering giants are mulling over the implementation of a joint program to increase the productivity of BelAZ equipment through the development of its service facilities in Krivoi Rog, the development of efficient logistics for the supply of spare parts, and personnel training. In particular, special simulation devices will be used to train hauler drivers. Today, more than 200 BelAZ rock haulers are used at Krivoi Rog's mining and processing plants.
