MINSK, 15 December (BelTA) – The Belarusian heavy truck manufacturer BelAZ will supply 24 haul trucks to AO Siberian Anthracite (part of Sibanthracite Group), which mines coal in Russia’s Novosibirsk Oblast, the press service of the Belarusian company told BelTA.
Ten 220-tonne BelAZ-75307 haul trucks and fourteen BelAZ-75131 haul trucks with the carrying capacity of 130 tonnes will be shipped in line with the contract. Deliveries will begin in December.
According to Sibanthracite Group, the sum of the contract exceeds $45 million. “We’ve invested considerably in expanding the vehicle fleet because we have to in order to realize our program on increasing the volume of anthracite extraction in 2021: we expect a 35% increase in comparison with 2020,” Sibanthracite Group CEO Sergei Melnikov said.
The public joint-stock company (OAO) BelAZ is the managing company of the holding company BelAZ. BelAZ is the world's leading manufacturer of haul trucks and transport equipment for mining industry and civil engineering industry. BelAZ accounts for some 30% of the world market of haul trucks with an extremely large carrying capacity. The company makes the world’s largest haul truck with the carrying capacity of 450 tonnes.
