MINSK, 11 April (BelTA) – The Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ is about to assemble a haul truck for the European market, the company’s press service told BelTA.

The mining dump truck (aka haul truck) BelAZ 75454 will be powered by a Scania DC 16 (Stage 4) 478kW engine and will boast the carrying capacity of 45 tonnes. The product represents a new generation of BelAZ trucks with an engine that is compliant with the latest environmental standards. The product will definitely appeal to the countries practicing rigid environmental standards such as the European market.

The haul truck BelAZ 75454 also implements other technical solutions that improve the vehicle’s operational appeal. The automatic gear box chooses optimal speeds. The automatic control of the hydromechanical transmission improves operational parameters of the vehicle, increases its operating life and reliability by maintaining optimal working conditions.

The Zhodino-based automobile engineering company BelAZ was established in September 1948. The enterprise was reincorporated as a public joint-stock company in 2010. In September 2012 OAO BelAZ became the managing company of the holding company BelAZ.
