MOSCOW, 14 July (BelTA) - The Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ will construct a center to provide maintenance services in Russia’s Sverdlovsk Oblast. The relevant agreement was signed by Dmitry Niskovskikh, Sverdlovsk Oblast Investment and Development Minister, and Mikhail Dubasov, Director General of BelAZ’ branch company in Russia BelTransLogistic, at the international industrial expo Innoprom 2017 in Yekaterinburg, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian company is now looking for a land plot near Yekaterinburg. BelAZ plans to invest some RUB90 million in the project out of its own funds within two years and create 75 jobs in the region by 2019.
This project is essential for BelAZ since the demand for its vehicles is quite high, and they require high-quality maintenance services. BelAZ has a general distributor in Moscow. The company has also set up a regional dealer network.
