MINSK, 25 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ, the managing company of BelAZ Holding Company, has plans to enter the market of Thailand, BelTA learned from the company.

“BelAZ signed a protocol of intent with the company Eurotyre Co.Ltd during the first Belarusian-Thai business forum in Bangkok. The document reads that the Thai company will sell and promote BelAZ dump trucks on the territory of that country,” the Belarusian enterprise said.

In the near time, BelAZ jointly with its Thai partner will take part in a tender to sell up to 38 dump trucks with a capacity of 90 to 110 tonnes to the transport company Sahakol Equipment Co. Ltd. The companies have plans to develop long-lasting mutually beneficial business ties.

“Preliminary agreements were reached with another Thai company. The potential partners were invited to visit BelAZ to discuss matters of cooperation,” the Belarusian company said.

“Thailand is a new market for us. We are interested to export our dump trucks to this country,” the enterprise noted.

The first Belarusian-Thai business forum was held in Bangkok on 17 March. The Thai Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a presentation of BelAZ dump trucks with a capacity of 30 to 110 tonnes. The 55-, 90-, and 110-tonne models attracted the most attention from Thai businessmen.

The Zhodino-based Belarusian automobile engineering company (BelAZ trademark) was founded in September 1948. In 2010 BelAZ was reincorporated into a public joint stock company.In September 2012 BelAZ became the managing company of BelAZ Holding Company. BelAZ is the world’s leading manufacturer of mine dump trucks with a large carrying capacity and an extremely large carrying capacity as well as other heavy transport equipment used in the mining industry and the civil engineering industry.
