TASHKENT, 12 September (BelTA) - The number of direct flights between Minsk and Tashkent may be increased to four per week, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Uzbekistan Leonid Marinich told the media in Tashkent on 12 September, BelTA has learned.
"Belarusian air carrier Belavia considers launching two flights to Tashkent. We are not sure when this happens exactly, but the work is in progress," Leonid Marinich said.
The ambassador explained that launching a flight is not that difficult. The main thing is to ensure high occupancy rate and positive economic effect.
Now there are two direct flights per week between the capitals of Belarus and Uzbekistan, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They are carried out by the Uzbekistan Airways.
