MINSK, 21 August (BelTA) – The Petrikovsky mining and processing factory has sent the first shipment of fertilizers to the customer, BelTA learned from the Belaruskali website.
According to the source, a batch of potassium chloride weighing 28.64 tonnes was sent by road to the agricultural enterprise Polesye-Agroinvest.
The Petrikovsky mining and processing factory is expected to commission its first longwall in Q4 2020.
The construction of the Petrikovsky mining and processing factory is Belaruskali’s largest investment project. It provides for building a mine and a sylvinite beneficiation plant. The Petrikovsky mining and processing factory will be able to make 1.5 million tonnes of potash fertilizers per annum. The output may be raised to 3 million tonnes later on.
The public joint-stock company (OAO) Belaruskali is one of the world’s largest producers and exporters of potash fertilizers. The company comprises four mine administrations, auxiliary divisions, and support divisions.
