MINSK, 18 January (BelTA) – The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) has expanded the geography of partners up to 70 countries, the BUCE press service told BelTA.
Ark Packaging Solutions became the first company from India to be accredited at the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange. Thus, the number of foreign countries trading through BUCE has risen to 70. Shortly before that, the first company from Pakistan joined BUCE in December 2021. According to the BUCE press service, its client base has not grown so rapidly for about ten years.
“All in all, more than 5,500 foreign companies are accredited with us. In 2021, top ten markets for Belarusian goods included Lithuania, Germany, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Poland, the Netherlands, the UK, Slovakia and China. The European Union mainly imported our lumber, fuel pellets, rapeseed oil and sugar beet byproducts. He UK bought lumber, wooden poles and ‘wet blue’ leather. Powdered milk, butter, cheeses and oilseed products were exported to Russia. Chinese companies actively purchased Belarusian lumber, rapeseed oil and sugar. This year, of course, we look forward to further expanding the geography of partners on the back of BUCE’s growing authority as an international trading platform. Last year alone, we accredited companies from five new countries: Brazil, Gibraltar, Pakistan, the Republic of Korea and Japan. The accreditation of the first company from India is the result of our hard work in 2021 to bring companies from Southeast Asia. The strategic task is to diversify the export of domestic products as much as possible, primarily through the countries of the far arc,” the BUCE press service informed.
