MINSK, 12 March (BelTA) – Additional measures have been taken to improve the conditions that Belarusian science and technology parks operate in. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko signed the relevant decree on 12 March, the press service of the head of state told BelTA.
Now Belarusian technoparks will be able to set up innovation development funds, which money can be used to finance innovative projects of resident companies and enhance the physical infrastructure.
Belarusian technoparks will be able to pursue a flexible rent policy depending on the technological advancement level and the track record of the enterprise.
Technoparks and the companies, which reside in technoparks, will be able to use privileges in order to import technological equipment for implementing projects within the framework of the national innovation development program.
The decree is supposed to invigorate the operation of Belarusian technoparks as technology development hubs and platforms for high-tech manufacturing.
