GOMEL, 15 March (BelTA) – According to the latest data, in January-February 2021 the Belarusian steel mill BMZ exported over 9,000 tonnes of hot-rolled seamless pipes to countries of the European Union, 210% as against the same period of last year, BelTA has learned.
In January-February 2021 BMZ sold hot-rolled seamless pipes to ten countries of the European Union. Italy was the top buyer. It accounted for about half of BMZ’s export to the European Union.
In January-February 2021 BMZ made nearly 21,000 tonnes of hot-rolled seamless pipes or over 120% as against the same period of last year. The company exported over 90% of the output. The growth rate exceeded 113%.
BMZ commissioned its pipe-rolling plant in June 2007. It is designed to make hot-worked seamless pipes with the diameter of 21.3-168.3mm and the wall thickness of 2.3-24mm for a number of economy branches such as mechanical engineering, metallurgy and metalworking, oil and gas extraction, civil engineering, utilities industry. Since the plant was commissioned, it has mastered the production of 1,069 standard sizes of pipes made of carbon steel and alloy steel. The products have been sold to 52 countries.
