Belarusian Railways working to facilitate merchandise export to China

MINSK, 2 August (BelTA) – Belarusian Railways is working hard to enable conditions conducive to expanding the flow of merchandise from China to Europe and promoting Belarusian exports to China, the Belarusian Railways press service told BelTA.

The Belarusian transport and forwarding company Belintertrans – Transport-Logistics Center (BTLC) of Belarusian Railways delivers Belarusian exports to China, offering a complete set of transport and logistics services. In June-July 2018 the BTLC helped deliver a number of Belarusian exports to China, including products made by Savushkin Product, Babushkina Krynka, Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1, Berioza Cheese-Producing Plant, Bellakt, Minsk Dairy Plant No. 2 (Molochny Gostinets trademark), Mogilev Meat-Packing Plant, and Veles-Meat.

Belarusian Railways continues working hard to export more Belarusian products to China. Instead of transportation or a simple logistics service a ready-made transportation solution is available for delivering products to any part of Europe or China. According to Zhang Yi, Director General of the Chinese meat trade and investment company Great Silk Road, there are plans to deliver 50 containers full of various products worth $5 million to China every month within the framework of the Belt and Road initiative.

Belarusian Railways is also ready to organize the delivery of freight from the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone to countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union.

In order to improve the quality of available services Belarusian Railways puts persistent efforts into electrifying new railway lines, upgrading the terminal infrastructure, renewing the rolling stock, simplifying customs procedures, and perfecting information support.
