MINSK, 11 August (BelTA) – Belarusian Railways intends to advance cooperation with the Chinese state corporation Jiangsu Suzhou Port Group Co. Ltd, the Belarusian Railways press service told BelTA.
Top officials of Belarusian Railways met with representatives of China’s Jiangsu Province in the headquarters of Belarusian Railways. Head of Belarusian Railways Vladimir Morozov, heads of various departments of the Belarusian railway company, and the state enterprise BTLC took part in the meeting from the Belarusian side.
The Jiangsu Province delegation included President of Jiangsu Suzhou Port Group Wu Hong, Director of the Commerce Department of the Shanghai government, head of the initiative group on promoting Belarus-China cooperation Ma Shi Jie, and Director General of Suzhou Commodity Electronic Trading Center Company Yue Song.
The sides discussed Belarusian Railways’ cooperation with Jiangsu Suzhou Port Group to create new stable transportation and logistics channels for delivering cargoes from Belarus to China and from China to Belarus. The sides will take a close look at the possibility of using land routes and combined routes while involving sea ports of the Russian Federation.
