“Among the major areas is the development of cooperation in railway transport and transport logistics with the China Railways Construction Corporation and other Chinese companies,” the press service said.

According to specialists, international cooperation with the participants of the foreign transport markets is among the priorities for the Belarusian Railways.

“Close attention will be attached to the cooperation with the railway companies of Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Germany, and Estonia. First of all, it will include attracting additional transit shipments, developing international passenger transportation, running a coordinated and competitive tariff policy,” the press service of the Belarusian Railways said.

This year the Belarusian Railways are determined to expand cooperation with foreign producers of railway rolling stock, machinery and equipment with a view to implementing energy and resource-saving technologies as well as technical and infrastructure projects.
