MINSK, 19 February (BelTA) – A delegation of the Belarusian Railways will take part in the international railway business forum 1520 Strategic Partnership: Central Europe, which is due to take place in Vienna on 20-22 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Railways.
This business forum is aimed at coordinating the efforts of the Eurasian transport market players on the development of integral infrastructure of international transport corridors, the creation of the most comfortable environment for the movement of passengers and cargo. The participation of the Belarusian Railways in the international railway business forum is also an opportunity to get heads of railways and transport companies familiar with the transit policy of Belarus, technical and technological transit capabilities of the Belarusian Railways.
Speaking at the forum will be heads of the national railway companies of the states with wide and narrow gauge railroads, the transport block of the European Commission, international profile organizations, representatives of transport and logistics, mechanical engineering and construction companies of the European Union and CIS states. The forum will include plenary sessions and roundtables.
Head of the Belarusian Railways Vladimir Morozov will speak at a plenary session entitled as Eurasia Corridor and the New Silk Road. Towards Each Other. The forum will also include the discussion issues such as international logistics, financing and construction of railway infrastructure. The participants of the event will be informed about the efforts of the railway business to expand the geography and schedule of regular container trains on the route China-EU-China, fast customs clearance of transit cargo, the development of competitive tariffs, and the implementation of advanced logistics solutions.
