Belarusian Railways, Great Stone park discuss rail container transportation

MINSK, 22 February (BelTA) -  Belarusian Railways and the resident companies of the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone discussed the prospects for cooperation, BelTA learned from the press center of Belarusian Railways.

First Deputy Head of the Belarusian Railways Piotr Dulub met with the heads of resident companies of the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park Great Stone to discuss the delivery of goods by container trains from China to Belarus and back using the transshipment capacities of Belarusian Railways. The event was organized on the initiative of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Belarus.

Employees of the Chinese Embassy in Belarus and heads of the major manufacturing companies - residents of the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone toured the Kolyadichi container terminal of the state enterprise BTLC of Belarusian Railways. They got familiar with its technical capabilities to handle container cargo, receive and send container trains. BTLC has the necessary capacities to process container cargo in strict compliance with the transport management requirements.    

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current status and prospects for cooperation and spoke in favor of closer practical cooperation in the context of an increase in the output and cargo transportation by resident companies of the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone.
