Belarusian petrochemical companies sign lucrative contracts at Istanbul Yarn Fair 2019

MINSK, 4 March (BelTA) – Belarusian petrochemical companies signed contracts worth over €2 million during the Istanbul Yarn Fair 2019, BelTA learned from the exhibition enterprise BelInterExpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI).

The fair took place on 28 February – 2 March. The Belarusian companies Mogilevkhimvolokno, the Khimvolokno branch of OAO Grodno Azot, SvetlogorskKhimvolokno, the Polymir plant of OAO Naftan, and Polotsk-Steklovolokno took part in it. In particular, Khimvolokno presented a broad range of artificial fibers and yarns, polymeric composite materials fit for manufacturing carpet flooring, cord fabrics for pneumatic tires, polyamide threads for making ropes and fishing nets as well as industrial fabrics used to make conveyor belts and drive belts.

SvetlogorskKhimvolokno demonstrated heat-resistant filament yarn Arselon. The innovative filament yarn does not burn, does not melt, repels water, and boasts outstanding strength and electric resistance. The unique filament yarn can be used to make overalls and protective textile for hotels, make hoses, tires, and high-temperature filters. Apart from the heat-resistant filament yarn the company presented polyester threads DTY, FDY, POY, ATY, carbon fabrics, PET containers, and knitted fabric.

Polotsk-Steklovolokno presented glass fiber and derivative products such as electrical insulating glass fabrics, basalt fiber, high-temperature silica materials, glass yarns and roving used to insulate electric wires and make fabrics and tapes.

The Polymir plant of OAO Naftan demonstrated acrylic fibers used to make yarn, artificial fur, curtain fabrics, knitted fabric, carpets, upholstery materials, and non-woven materials. Mogilevkhimvolokno is one of the largest manufacturers of chemical products in Europe. It presented its own varieties of polyester fibers, yarns and braids used to make yarn, fillers and faux fur as well as polyester fabric, which is indispensable for making roofing materials and carpet flooring.

BNH Petrokimiya Company sells products of Belarusian petrochemical companies in Turkey. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Turkey Andrei Savinykh, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s representative in Turkey Sefa Gemdeniz, and representatives of business circles and associations of Turkish chemical and textile industry visited the stand of Belarusian companies. Negotiations with Turkish partners and contract partners from other countries took place. BelInterExpo organized the exhibition of Belarusian products at the Istanbul Yarn Fair 2019.
