MINSK, 22 November (BelTA) – A presentation of the new compact tractor Belarus-622.5 took place during the world’s largest agricultural machines expo Agritechnica 2017, which took place in Hannover, Germany on 12-18 November, the press service of the Belarusian Industry Ministry told BelTA.
The new tractor is based on the Belarus-622 model made by Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units (BZTDiA), a division of the Belarusian industrial group MTZ. The Bobruisk-based enterprise has been making these tractors since 2010. Unlike the base model the prototype is powered by a Japanese Yanmar four-cycle turbocharged diesel engine with pre-chamber injection with the output capacity of 66hp. The engine boasts low emissions of harmful substances and is therefore compliant with Europe’s Tier IIIB environmental safety standards. The engine also boasts high performance and good fuel economy.
Apart from the new engine the new model has an interesting design. Simple designs and affordable prices have always been the stock in trade of MTZ tractors. The compact tractor Belarus-622.5 is fitted with a mechanical gearbox with 16 forward speeds and eight backward speeds. The top speed of this tractor model stands at 31.8kmph.
The Belarusian company believes that the new model offers an ideal combination of parameters that farmers will love such as a compact size, optimal engine output, comfort driving experience, and modern exterior design. These are complemented by universal mounting points at the front and the rear, three-point lifting arms, and a wide choice of speeds.
During the Agritechnica 2017 expo the new Belarusian tractor attracted the attention of not only regular visitors but also representatives of leading industry media from Germany, Poland, Hungary, Czechia, and other European countries.
