MINSK, 29 January (BelTA) - The Belarusian tractor manufacturer MTZ is interested in increasing BELARUS tractor supplies to Mongolia, MTZ Marketing Director Mikhail Kadnikov said at a meeting with Mongolian Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Minister Khayangaa Bolorchuluun, BelTA learned from the company's press service.
The Mongolian delegation visited the BELARUS machinery exhibition and the MTZ museum, where they held negotiations with Mikhail Kadnikov on ways of expanding cooperation. According to the MTZ marketing center, in 2023 MTZ exports to Mongolia surged by 63.5% year-on-year.
“In 1986, the 40th anniversary of MTZ was greatly celebrated in the BSSR. During these years, 2,210,000 BELARUS tractors rolled off the plant's main assembly line. They were supplied ton more than 90 countries of the world. One of these countries honored the enterprise with a high governmental award: by the decree of the Presidium of the Great People's Khural of the Mongolian People's Republic Minsk Tractor Works was awarded the Order of the Polar Star. The order is kept in our museum,” the press service said.
