Belarusian MTZ, Gomselmash to set up two assembly enterprises in China in 2015

MINSK, 12 May (BelTA) – The Belarusian companies MTZ and Gomselmash intend to set up two assembly enterprises in China in 2015, BelTA learned from Belarusian Deputy Industry Minister Pavel Utyupin during the opening of the Belarusian Industrial forum 2015 on 12 May.

“The Belarusian agricultural mechanical engineering industry takes active steps to promote its products. As an example I can mention that within the framework of the visit of China President Xi Jinping MTZ and Gomselmash signed agreements on starting up enterprises in China. This year we are expected to set up two more enterprises to assemble tractors and harvesters in two Chinese provinces, which constitute a huge market,” said Pavel Utyupin.

The official added that about 150 assembly enterprises in 20 countries had been established with assistance of Belarusian industrial companies.

During the opening of the Belarusian Industrial forum 2015BelTA reported earlier that the Chinese company Zongshen has signed an agreement with the Belarusian companies MTZ and Gomselmash on setting up joint ventures with Chinese and foreign capital. The documents were initialed during the Belarusian-Chinese interregional business forum on 11 May.

The 19th Belarusian Industrial Forum opened in Minsk on 12 May. This year’s event is focused on manufacturing cooperation on the market of the Eurasian Economic Union. The forum’s business program features over 15 events. The key one is the plenary session involving the Eurasian Economic Commission. A traditional contest of welders and the fifth exchange of subcontracts will be held as well.
