MINSK, 11 December (BelTA) – The Belarusian-Moldovan trolleybus assembly joint venture in Chisinau will make at least 20 vehicles in 2018, BelTA learned from Gheorghe Morgoci, Director General of the Electric Transport Office of Chisinau, on the sidelines of the Belarusian-Moldovan business forum on 11 December.
The official said: “For the last six years we’ve been working together with colleagues from Minsk — Belkommunmash Company — assembling trolleybuses in Chisinau. The trolleybus assembly technology begins in Minsk and ends in Chisinau. The ready-made trolleybuses enter into service. The vehicles are compliant with all the European requirements.”
Money has been appropriated for assembling 20 trolleybuses. “The figure may be doubled. Everything depends on the municipal government, which discharges the funds. We are capable of assembling up to 50 trolleybuses per annum,” he said.
A Belarusian-Moldovan business forum took place in Minsk on 11 December. It gathered over 90 participants from Belarus and about 30 ones from Moldova. Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Rusy and Moldovan Prime Minister Pavel Filip took part in the event.
